Join Square One Global (SQ1), a completely student-run organization at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, for an event rooted in community connection and global partnership, hosted by the OG Coffee & Wine Bar!

Founded in the early 2000s, SQ1 works to build and sustain meaningful relationships with local and global nonprofit partners. The organization supports community-driven initiatives through fundraising, collaboration, and on-site volunteer engagement in Minnesota and abroad.

This event highlights Alfajiri Street Kids Art, a community organization in Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to the rehabilitation and empowerment of street-involved children from the Mathare slum. Through creative outlets such as painting, music, and martial arts, Alfajiri provides a safe space for self-expression, healing, and skill-building. Artwork created by the children will be featured and sold in the silent auction.

All proceeds from purchased art go directly tonsupport Alfajiri Street Kids Art, funding art programs and daily support for street children in Mlango Kubwa, Nairobi, while strengthening SQ1’s long-term partnership and on-the-ground volunteer efforts
